Online Tutor Requirements
We are looking for Filipino:
- ESL tutors for young learners
- ESL tutors for adults
- Math tutors for K-12
Who are:
- University-educated
- TESOL/TEFL certified
- Minimum 1 year experience (advantage)
- Windows
- i5 processor or above
- 8GB RAM
- HD webcam
- Noise cancelling headset
The Application Process
Fill Out Application Form
Begin your journey by completing the application form. Our team will review your qualifications to ensure great fit for the role. If approved, you’ll proceed to the Final Interview and Technical Check for further assessment.
Final Interview and Tech Check
We’ll assess your communication skills, professionalism, and online teaching readiness. A Tech Check will ensure your setup meets our standards, ensuring a seamless online tutoring experience. Be at your workstation—cafes or shared spaces may lead to disqualification.
Pre-Service Orientation
Congratulations on reaching the Pre-Service Orientation!
In this step, our Recruitment Team will introduce EDGE Tutor and your potential account, guide you through our standards and schedule, and walk you through the initial requirements like NBI clearance, certificates, and valid ID.
Training
Well done on reaching the training stage! This step includes an introduction to our teaching tools and methodology, submission of your intro video and demo, and preparation for your scheduled mock class. You’ll also complete your secondary requirements, including:
- Diploma
- NBI/Police Clearance
- TESOL/TEFL certification
- Valid ID (preferably a passport, PRC, voter ID, or UMID)
- Personal PH bank account

Embark on your journey with EDGE through our specialized Teacher Training program!
- For Math Tutor Applicants: A one-day training session is required.
- For ESL Applicants: We have a comprehensive two-day training program scheduled. On the first day, we focus on Kids Training, and the second day is dedicated to Adult Training.
Activation
The final step! Once you’ve completed all requirements and training, you’ll officially join the #GenEDGE team.
For applicants who don’t pass the screening, you can reapply after a six-month cooling-off period.
