EDGE Tutor International has been named to the Top 25 Start-Ups shortlist for the second annual Global EdTech Prize, an award run by T4 Education with support from Owl Ventures and Digital Promise. The shortlist was unveiled this week, recognizing education technology companies from around the world that are making a measurable difference in how students learn and how institutions deliver education.
A Prize Judged by Educators
What sets the Global EdTech Prize apart from most industry awards is who decides the winner. Rather than a closed panel of investors or executives, the final results are determined by secret ballot vote from educators themselves, the teachers, school leaders, and academic staff who work with these tools every day. Being recognized within a process built around educator judgment carries particular weight for a company whose work is centered on connecting qualified tutors with the institutions and students who need them.
What This Recognition Reflects
EDGE Tutor International's inclusion on the shortlist reflects the work of the full team, from the tutors delivering instruction across a wide range of subjects and levels, to the academic leads and partner institutions that trust EDGE Tutor to deliver consistent outcomes across the regions it serves, including the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and beyond. Being named alongside a strong global field of Start-Up category peers is a meaningful marker of the progress the company has made in building a managed tutor outsourcing model that institutions can rely on at scale.
What Happens Next
The Top 25 Start-Ups list is the first stage of the judging process. Ten finalists per category will be announced in September, with those finalists showcased at the World Schools Summit. The final winners across all categories, Majors, Start-Ups, and Non-Profits, will be announced live at the World Schools Summit in London on January 17, 2027, following the educator vote.
EDGE Tutor will share updates as the process moves forward, including whether the company advances to the finalist round later this year.
